 November - 8th - 2009

Ok all - We posted the WELCOME BACK free roll info in the Xiflespoker.com calendar. (see link above) This free roll is for ALL forum members.

Fun time last night with forum members on Twitter (@xfilespoker) talking poker!  Ivey busted as I predicted.. a little earlier than  expected. 

We all left the poker/twitter action about 4am -and woke to insane news that it will be CADA (almost to the felt last night) vs. Moon!  HEADS UP poker!

We here at Xfilespoker.com must support MOON - It would be un-alien not to. (lol)  Think of all the MARKETING the poker world could push to death.. "To the MOON Alice!  I'm playing POKER!"

We seen some silly cards from MOON and some super aggessive and LUCKY play from Cada.. This heads up poker match should be neat to watch..

I give them both credit - Hell - They are sitting there and we are watching!  I like that MOON did not sell out to the POKER machine that IS the "current monster online poker companies."  He passed on a sure 500,000.00 per Phil Hellmuth's radio visit on bluff magazines audio cast.  To me.. that is very cool.

All the koolaide drinking poker fans will have to wait another few lifetimes to see Ivey at that final table - as more and more players are figuring this NL poker game out.  I hate to keep peeing on everyones parade - but I don't see it happening.  He is HUMAN after all.. Winning bracelets 5+ years ago vs. today is a much tougher task to pull off.  With that said - No doubt he's a master of the game.


I wish I was there!  Maybe in 2010!




October 16th - 2009

Ok everyone!  Hope all of you reading this had a great summer here in the good old USA! Actually - we hope you had a blast ANYWHERE here on mother earth!!

Time to dust off the XFILESPOKER forum and get us some action.
Summers are always tough on small poker forums...

Much is going on in our home state of Pennsylvania.. Seems legal poker is about 6 months away (I pray it happens sooner) All who know me - know I'm more a LIVE player.  It's where I really make my fun mad money..

That said - My game online is getting better everyday.. thanks to my friends here... and the new subscription to BLUFF

WE ALSO have a NEW calendar link above!  Check it out! Not bad huh? POP into the poker forum here at xfilespoker.. EVEN IF.. it's only once in a while.. Give us a shout once or twice a month. Let us know what you are up to.. give us some hand histories.. talk some poker.

Much to learn - much to talk about in this great game of ours..

Oh!  Congrats to our member CHUNKY!  He did not cash - but he went deep in this years 10K no limit event in Vegas.. He got taken out by last years CHAMP! (wow)  While he did not win big.. I know he learned tons.. and he tells us he will return in 2010.  I hope I'm there too at the RIO..

Let's just put it this way.. We are due!

My last trip to Vegas was in 2005.. Prior to that I was there 40 some times..  (man.. the 90's rocked!)
